The patented EcoSmart Filter is the first filtration system to economically address the challenges of harmful sprinkler system runoff. Compact, portable and highly effective, the EcoSmart Filter employs a series of filters designed to reduce contaminates that are destructive to our environment. It is by far the most effective Best Management Practice (BMP) available today.
The EcoSmart Filter latches onto the external sprinkler pipes of a building. Water flushes from the building and flows into the EcoSmart Filter, where it funnels through a series of three separate micro filters.
STEP 1 : EATON MODEL 72 BASKET FILTER
The first filter, the Model 72 basket strainer from Eaton Corporation, removes pieces of metal, debris and other large particles from the polluted water.
STEP 2 : EATON FINEFLOW FILTER
The polluted water then flows through a second filter – Eaton’s FineFlow Filter – that captures smaller particles, such as rust and the like.
STEP 3 : ABTECH SMART SPONGE PLUS
Finally it funnels through AbTech’s Smart Sponge® Plus, which recovers and fully encapsulates all types of oils and hydrocarbons. It also destroys dangerous microorganisms such as Enterococcus, E.coli, and Fecal Coliforms with an antimicrobial agent.
Eco-friendly: The EcoSmart Filter’s ingenious three-filter system captures environmentally hazardous pollutants and micro-pollutants and prevents them from flushing into storm drains and oceans. Once filtered and cleaned, the water can be conserved or diverted into other uses, such as landscaping.
Proven: Rigorous third party testing has validated the efficacy of our technology. In some tests, the water produced by our filter has met or exceeded EPA’s standards for storm drain runoff.
Affordable: Current wastewater disposal processes are inefficient and expensive. The smart design of Hydro(gen) Technologies’ filtration system is much more reliable, and much more affordable, than the current process.
